Forest Service have been in touch and have granted us our permit for the race, they have however laid down a couple of rules. (more on these at a later date for teams entering the race) The route will now be finalised in the New Year with appox. distances posted within the final details.

 

The High Point Group will be providing the use of their excellent Blue Lough Mountain and Water Centre for our event HQ, after feedback it was decided to hire the centre which will be used for registration, kit check and pre-race briefing. Competitors will then be allowed to use the showers after the event and we will be able to provide some much needed refreshments in the comfort of the centre afterwards. Timing System We will be trying out a new timing system with a view to buying one for the coming races in the series. Details on how to use this system will be in the final details and we will cover more on this during the pre-race briefing for anyone who is unsure how to use it.

 

Surcharge The above items will bring vast improvements to the overall race, they do however come at a price, because of this we will have to charge a £10 per team surcharge. As usual we have did our best to keep the cost for the competitor to it's lowest. The £10 will cover the cost of Forest Service carparking fees for competitors, the hire of the Blue Lough Mountain and Water Centre or more importantly the use of the showers and for good measure we will include the after race refreshments in the fee. This fee will be payable on the day. Hopefully everyone will agree this is a fair price.
