Back in the 90's if you were serious about MTBing, and wanted to ride a hardnosed hardtail you rode a GT Zaskar. Along with most of the greats from that era in the 00's it morphed into a lesser version of itself.

View Article  What a month.... What a year!
August was mental. July was it's normal quiet time what with holidays and stuff, I myself was away for most of it, but August has just gone ballistic. Fuelled I'm pretty sure by our killer deals on 2007 Commencal, and now as we near the official end to the 07 bike season, it's time to reflect.

It has to be said 2007 was Commencals year. In 05 & 06 a few mags picked up on the brand and ran the odd small article about this strange new French brand that was turning out some unusual but good bikes. In 07 they didn't just move up a level they leapt onto the stage and started pushing the big established names around. A new UK distributor also stepped in after the original guys ran out of money and that meant for the first time in 3 years long standing Commencal dealers had a consistent supply. Well sort of consistent, at the same time as Madison stepping up to the plate in the UK Commencal themselves signed CG and demand went thru the roof, I've heard figures of 400% increase in demand year on year.
